Caufields has been a family run business for over 25 years, started by Gregg Caufield, a teacher in the town of Vernon, BC. It was a hobby shop that quickly turned into a thriving business in the heart of the Okanagan. Started, like many businesses, in Gregg’s garage, and growing into a great retail location in the Alpine Centre on Kalamalka Lake Road. In the beginning Caufields served Vernon, Kelowna, Penticton, Kamloops, Salmon Arm and Armstrong and has since broadened services to across Canada. As a supplier and manufacturer of engraved ID labels for machinery and electrical businesses, Caufields has seen steady growth in the industry. With the introduction of laser engraving, we are now able to engrave on almost any product. Glass engraving and wood engraving are our specialties for custom orders, while stone and tile engraving is growing in popularity. Most of our work is for stainless steel cable tags, anodized aluminium and plastic valve tags and metal and plastic lamacoids, produced right here in BC.

Caufields is also the largest supplier of engraved brass tack tags and stall plaques in Canada. Supplier to more than 40 Equine stores across Canada and into the US we personalized you might need for showing and identification for your equipment. Trailer plaques and tack box plates are made for outdoor travel and are weather. All bridle tags, saddle plates and halter plates are made from solid brass and are engraved with our deep diamond drag process and treated with acid for a traditional engraved look. We also make bridle number sets for those rainy days when a paper number just doesn’t cut it, and also to avoid those nasty pin holes in your expensive show jacket. Kim’s background in equine riding and showing provides her with the knowhow of what it takes to stand out in the ring (or at the barn).

Caufields is introducing sandblasting as one of our services. Sandblasting allows us to do larger pieces and still attain the etched look of engraving. Whether it is a mirror or a piece of glass, results are great. Sandblasting is available on the same wide range of products we can laser engrave as well. This method is used for objects that are not ideal for the laser machine or have either a finish or surface that would not react well to laser engraving.
